How can I verify my download is correct
Use SHA256SUMS to check files with executable code (iso, exe, msi) were not modified.
The file SHA256SUMS is signed - see the matching SHA256SUMS.sign file.
Once you've downloaded an executable file, you can check:
- that its checksum matches that expected from the checksum file; and
- that the checksum file has not been tampered with.
You can download the public GPG key here.
The key ID is shown below.
